Drawing parallels with the mad scene in an opera, often written with intention of giving the star singer the opportunity to show off their unique abilities and virtuosity, this piece highlights the absurdity of ballet and opera and the immense skill they both require, while relishing in their delicacy, ornamentation, and embellishments.
